Alumni Mentorship Program

Our alumni mentorship program has helped 73 former ball players in the last 15 years. We all strive for a job in the Big Leagues, but at Cornell, our alumni are also successful Wall Street businessmen, front office executives of professional sports teams, management consultants, and more. The mentorship program connects these alumni with current players to provide guidance and connections.

“I got this position completely through connections to Cornell Baseball (M. Seneker and M. Yanzick). By networking with them, I spoke to other employees at Nike that led to interviews.”

- Marlon Rainville '16, Biomechanics Researcher at Nike

“I was always told that Cornell Alumni are eager To help other Cornellians, but I didn’t realized how incredibly important that was until I started working in the baseball industry and saw just how supportive the Cornell network is”

“The benefits to the players are obvious. This experience has also been very positive for me. As mentor to eight Cornell baseball players over the past 9 years, I have greatly enjoyed the relationships I made and I value the lessons I learned from these young men. Helping and coaching young people is rewarding, and this is a great way to support Cornell Baseball.”
